Should I book cleaning before or after the furniture arrives?
Before, wherever your moving dates allow it. Empty rooms let us reach the floors, skirting boards and window tracks without working around boxes. Empty kitchen cupboards can be cleaned before you put away plates and food.
The useful order is:
- Get the keys and confirm you can enter the property.
- Finish any decorating or other trades work.
- Have the agreed clean completed.
- Bring in furniture and start unpacking.
If completion, cleaning and removals need to happen on the same day, tell us the expected key-release time and delivery deadline before booking. We can then check whether the available slot fits. Leave room in your plan for keys arriving later than expected.

What does the move-in clean include?
We use our room-by-room empty-property checklist. The standard work includes:
- Kitchen surfaces, sink and hob, appliance exteriors, and empty cupboards and drawers inside and out.
- Bathrooms, including toilets, baths, showers, sinks, tiles and fittings.
- Bedrooms and living areas, with doors, skirting boards, switches and accessible surfaces.
- Internal windows, frames, sills and tracks.
- Carpet vacuuming and hard-floor cleaning.
We bring the cleaning products and equipment. Please have water and electricity available and tell us about delicate surfaces when booking.

Empty the appliances you've booked for interior cleaning. A freezer needs defrosting before its interior can be cleaned properly. Follow your appliance manual and allow enough time: Beko's defrosting guidance explains that this can take several hours and warns against using sharp objects to remove ice.
