Cheadle is a suburban village in Stockport borough, eight miles from Manchester city centre, with a post town of its own: every SK8 address, Gatley, Heald Green and Cheadle Hulme included, is written as Cheadle. It grew around St Mary's on High Street, a Grade I church rebuilt in stone between 1520 and 1550. Abney Hall, Cheadle's town hall from 1959 until 1974, is now offices in a public park.
Cheadle and the rest of SK8 are now covered by Sage Cleans crews. The crew brings every product and all the equipment, you arrange access and need not stay once it is agreed, and a neighbour or your letting agent can hold the keys by arrangement.
The rental numbers here are real: Census 2021 counts 6,385 households in the Cheadle and Gatley ward, and 804 of them (12.6%) are privately rented, compared with 14.4% across the Stockport borough as a whole. Every one of those Cheadle tenancies ends in a checkout inspection sooner or later.
